A little bit about the book I am writing
Posted on: December 14, 2012
Today, a friend and follower of my blog Mittens Kittens was so kind enough to nominate me for this cool award type thing http://mittenskittens.wordpress.com/2012/12/13/the-next-big-thing-2/
So here is my response.
What is the working title of your book?
Ruby’s Notes – I think everyone already knew that.
What genre does your book fall under?
a bit of crime, a bit of horror and Mystery… But all those categories sort of always fall well together
What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
Without going too much away – Character wakes up in hospital with new identity, nothing is what it seems and she must find out the truth.
Where did you get the idea for your book?
I started writing it as a short ‘horror’ story for a competition i was considering entering (but didn’t due to lack of confidence in my writing.) Then it sat there for months until i decided to re-read it and found myself writing a whole lot more to it. Now people want me to finish it already lol
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
My partner Jordan, he always encouraged me to continue doing the things I love, no matter how many people may or may not put me down.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
I’ve not finished
What other books would you compare this story with in your genre?
Wow.. umm none to be honest.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Agency if they allow it
What else about your book might pique your reader’s interest?
The mysterious creature – I don’t want to give anything away

It’s interesting that I was chosen for this, because it has literally been what most of my friends (online and in person) have been talking about me – when am I going to finish me book?
In response to this all I can say is “sooner than you may think.”

The book is like a beer where we’re all chanting ‘write! write! write!’ instead of ‘chug! chug! chug!’ .
Ahh, Ian Somerhalder, good choice. I don’t know the character I just like him as an actor!
