So over the past few days we have been packing to move into our new house in a few weeks. Personally I love moving, its exciting! I’ve moved states and houses a few times now and I never get tired of it, because everytime I find things I love and clothes I love to wear. I thought about this post a lot, as I wasn’t sure whether to write it – but I’ve been too consumed in my studies to think of anything else. So here goes nothing. My favorite items of everything I found in my wardrobe
These are my favorite heals – the rest of my shoe collection is at my parents house.
I’ve had this jacket for a while now, I actually bought it when I was pregnant with my eldest, its funny that I did buy it because it was only a few months later it didn’t fit me because of my baby bump. But now it fits perfectly.
These are my favorite dresses, I’ve become very fond of dresses as I have begun to lose weight. I used to just wear pants and a long sleeved top. I’m not really a fan of t-shirts, even though I roll up the sleeves on my tops. I prefer the rolled up sleeve look.
This is my favorite nail polish at the moment, I find that blues and pink nail polish’s are best suited when I do wear nail poish. Usually I have my nails done with acrylics, but I haven’t had them for a while.
I thought I would also share my favorite products I use all the time. The Lucas pawpaw ointment is amazing everything from dry skin to cuts and scars.
I love this travel sized body wash, it smells amazing and you cab carry it on the plane, no need to buy containers and fill them up – no mess yay!
My favorite perfumes – I love perfume so much, at one stage I had over 30 perfumes obsessed much. Now I have 4.
I love this for those early mornings.
Perfect for moisturizing your skin, especially if you are pregnant.
I cannot live without my silver :p diamonds aren’t my best friend, but they do come pretty close.
My iPod and hand sanitizer, I love keeping a travel sized one in my bag. Its really handy for places like the shopping center and the gym. Some people just don’t understand exactly how many extremely harmful germs lurk in these places.
And my favorite lip gloss, I’m not a big fan lipsticks, I usually only like the light, natural pinks nothing red or bright pink, I find it a bit too much and over bearing. I may have expensive taste, but I make them last and you can never have enough girly things growing up my mum always had the beautiful perfume by Estèe Lauder, she always complained that is was so expensive because I used to use it – even though money was never a problem, we were never poor – she just wanted it to last, so I am glad I can buy my own now Back to packing, see what else I can find.
I haven’t written about it yet, but I have decided I am going to travel with my little family. First I will start with Australia, then make my way overseas, I started comprising a list of places I would like to travel to, I haven’t finished that list yet. I plan on writing about every place I visit. Today I was going to travel into the city but the weather is too hot to take a newborn, so I’ve had to rely on google for images of my city – I take no credit for the pictures. Adelaide my city travel destination 1
Adelaide, here you can find peace in ‘rush hour’ – especially if you are from a big city like Sydney or Melbourne. It is almost always sunny here in Adelaide, even in winter you can see sunlight, it does not snow here.
In these pictures you can see the ‘Intercontinental hotel’ Torrens river A lot of other buildings And the Adelaide Festival theater
In primary school (grade school for Americans) I used to perform here with my school, I was in the choir, we performed here every year for a event called ‘The festival of music’
We would spend all year preparing for this one event. I remember the feeling of being on that stage in front of thousands of people, signing and it was amazing. Another even we spent all year preparing for, was a contemporary dance number for a competition called
Adelaide is filled with ‘old’ buildings, most of them haven’t been upgraded to look ‘mainstream’ yet. That is one thing I absolutely love about Adelaide, you feel a little as if you have gone back in time when you come here. But when night time hits, you wonder what this city is hiding.
The night life here is amazing I hear – I haven’t had the time or real desire to experience it by myself, but I promise if I do I will write about it. Hindley street has mixture of clubs, pubs, restaurant and Gentlemens clubs.
These balls have served us well in Adelaide, they serve as a national landmark, a tourist destination, a meeting place for friends, business partners, school trips and family. In some cases, sadly a place to remember loved ones that have moved on from this world. Many people hold memorials at these balls.
In 2011, a friend of mine had given up on fighting his battle with depression. He was bullied severely for his sexuality. Kahl Sims. Bullying should never get to the point that a young man, with so much potential takes his own life as a result.
We all light candles, I think about 50 or so of Kahls friends and family attended the memorial, many tears were shed that night.
Hope the afterlife is treating you much better buddy.
Mosley square glenelg. This is another place with many shops. You can jump on a tram from the city all the way to Glenelg.
That is an aireal view of my local beach ‘Port Noarlunga’
I used to live up the road from it, and I would swim from one end of the jerry to the end and walk back nearly every morning.
There are some wonderful restaurants here.
For some reason, troubled teens group at shopping centers. Disturbing the peace… I think you get that everywhere.
I was here yesterday to purchase an outfit for a cocktail party I am invited to next week on Sunday.
I think that shall be all for Adelaide today. There are so many more places I have to visit. I will be doing that soon, next top Ballarat, Victoria. For those who don’t know, I’ve lived here before so I know a few places I would like to write about already. Plus I will have my camera handy every day.
Who is excited for the Emmys? Now I live in Australia and I am excited for it, my favorite part you ask? Oh the outfits… It really is all I watch it for, to be a typical pap and concentrate on what everyone is rocking up in, or should I say Frocking up
All in all, I think everyone looks their best when they attend, but that wont stop people attepting to do their own ‘best and worst’ dressed just for the occasion. Do you remember that feeling, when you walk into a clothes store, find an outfit, try it on ‘looks great’ buy it and then when you are out and about in it, and someone looks at you funny? Your confidence is crushed and you think you’re ugly… Just because someone else thinks you are ‘worst dressed’ doesnt mean you cant be Best dressed.
Ok so maybe dressing up as a tree was not the best idea. :/
Will you be watching the Emmys?
